Welcome to The Crossing Preschool

Building a community of lifelong learners.

About Our Preschool

Dedicated Educators

We know that the enjoyment of learning is easier when you have an excellent teacher. That's why most of our educators will have achieved an advanced qualification in early childhood education and care. We are passionate about providing young children with the best possible social and learning experiences, giving them the building blocks and confidence which will be so important to them later in life when starting school.

First-Rate Curriculum

Our preschool will incorporate the New Zealand Early Childhood curriculum, Te Whariki, and will focus on play, structural and quizzical learning, supported by our experienced teachers. To achieve this we will maintain low teacher to child ratios which will provide the social and educational opportunities all young children deserve.

Exciting Extracurriculars

Although our preschool has a wonderful and expansive outdoor environment including purpose built playgrounds, we plan to regularly ask for your permission to take small groups of children on regular supervised outings to places such as the Botanical Gardens and Museum, or the Margaret Mahy Playground to name just two.

We're very proud and excited to offer to the Central City, a brand new purpose built preschool, which provides a unique and fun filled environment for preschool children. The quality of the centre will be extremely high, with a safe, warm and caring atmosphere focussed on fun and exploration. The location for those employed or living in the CBD is excellent, giving an opportunity for those parents or caregivers to be close to their children. The convenient accessibility provides generous parking, as well as direct pedestrian access.

We plan to open The Crossing Preschool in September 2019, so to give everyone plenty of opportunity, we are offering pre-booking enquiries now as spaces for children's bookings will be limited.

To find out more, please use the 'Contact Us' form, or complete the pre-enrolment form to reserve a space for your child.
